Buying a 3D printer will permanently damage your earnings, if you do it like this

Buying a 3D printer will permanently damage your earnings,

if you do it like this

The only way to invest in additive systems with the certainty of having chosen correctly, and without going broke

According to Warren Buffett, investing has always been considered risky, if you don’t take into account 2 important points:

1)you must have insider competence in the field in which you want to invest;

2)you must have total control over your investment;

if you can’t follow these two rules, don’t invest or you will really run the risk of going under.

Buying a 3D printer is an investment which allows you to speed up your production and increase your company cash flow, like Nike which increased its turnover by 13% in only one year.

Like all investments, 3D printing is risky and you can’t just trust the first salesman who comes knocking on your door, or buy with your eyes closed.

“Obviously I’m not going to buy blindly! I will inform myself first.”

You can inform yourself as much as you want, even by following blogs on the subject, like this one for example, but informing oneself is not enough, because unfortunately salesmen of standard 3D printers do not give you the option of investing

with

zero

risk.

All salesmen of standard 3D printers promise you that the machine they have in catalogue is suitable for your production needs, and that it will turn you into a millionaire and speed up your production flow.

These far-fetched promises however are not backed up by proof.

Additive systems are not suitable for all types of production and therefore all types of companies

if you have to produce standard components, all similar to each other, in a big quantity, every day, it would cost you the earth to produce them with any 3D printer, and your bank account would be in the red in less than a month.

No salesman of 3D printers for metals will tell you this.

3D printers are like clothes made to measure: first you have to check that the characteristics of the machine are compatible with your company patterns and your wallet.

When you scroll down the websites or browse the catalogues of generalist salesmen, your eyes light up before those space-age giants straight out of a science fiction film, promising you riches and prestige, but hiding  the dark sides such as: how much it costs to maintain them or how fast  they really are in producing your components.

Nobody tells you how much it costs to maintain a standard 3D printer for metals…

It is not enough to plug into a socket, switch on and off whenever you like: there are other things to take into account, for example, cleaning and safety.

Let’s start with the cleaning:

if you buy a standard 3D printer, that is, one which prints with any material from aluminum, titanium to steel, you must always meticulously clean the beasts’ printing chamber and tubes, before printing another component using a different powder.

To clean all the tubes, through which the powder has passed, of a 3D printer, you need a whole day minimum, to make sure that there is no serious contamination between the various types of powder.

A whole day in which your production is at a standstill.

Your turnover does not increase.

Your costs on the other hand do.

I’m sure you are already well aware of how devastating a shutdown is for your production

If you don’t clean the filters perfectly after each printing cycle, you risk producing impure components which, especially if you are producing packaging for the food or cosmetic industry, could put the life of your consumers at risk.

Not only…

Since each metal melts at different temperatures, harmful contamination could result in impurities which compromise the solidity of your component.

Before explaining the first reason which will save you a load of money just by knowing about it, I want to speak of a question of life and death.

Here are the safety measures you must take into account

if you don’t want to have your technicians on your conscience

for the rest of your life

Some standard 3D printers could cause the death of one of your operators!

Relax, luckily not all printers are a death risk.

The most dangerous 3D printers are those using argon.

Be aware that every 3D printer using metal powders needs a gas in order to work: nitrogen, argon, hydrogen and helium.

You should avoid 3D printers using argon like the plague: a silent and ruthless killer, it is odourless, colourless and tasteless, and suffocates its victims who will be unable to escape the cold clutches of death.

Argon substitutes oxygen in the air without your operators even noticing

Imagine finding your colleagues lying lifeless on the floor because of an argon gas leak, which you could not have foreseen or prevented in any way.

If you want to know more about the effects of argon and how hamsters could help your operators escape in time, before suffocating, read here.

When you buy a 3D printer from a generalist salesman you only get abstract promises, without having numbers in hand, proof of performance and other considerations, such as safety or timing and the money necessary for maintenance.

“But do salesmen of 3D printers at least give me a sample prototype to show me the results of how it prints!”

Here is the reason why a sample prototype is not worth a damn in evaluating if that 3D printer is suitable for your production needs:

It is useless for you to see that sample prototype printed in 3D, because it is standard and not the prototype of one of YOUR components which you need to print.

With additive systems each component is printed at different speeds and with different costs: you cannot generalize, or compare the free samples, which the generalist salesmen show you, with the components you need to print, once you have bought the machine.

If a salesman shows you a sample and tells you that it took only two hours to print, you can believe him if you want, but that doesn’t mean that the component you will want to print, will take the same time.

The speed of a 3D printer doesn’t depend only on the power of the laser, but also on the geometrics, the position of the printing bed, the dimensions and the material of the component.

There are too many variables involved with velocity and the cost of production, it is necessary to evaluate on a case-by-case basis.

That is why it is impossible, illogical and too risky to buy a 3D printer without first trying it

Yes, you have read correctly! You should have the chance to try your 3D printer before buying it, and investing huge amounts of money for a machine, which you are not even sure, will allow you to produce and earn faster.

Analysis of the customized production is the key aspect of my Corsystem method: only by studying your specific case and adapting the 3D printer to your components and your type of production, will you produce more quickly and earn more, thanks to additive systems.

No salesman of standard 3D printers can give you this guarantee, and a document which proves that their promises are the not the usual lies of phony salesmen.

Nobody, except the only producer in the world of a 3D printer specialized for steel, that is me, Ivano Corsini.

I chose to specialize in steel because it is a material which costs 1/3 less than other materials, for example, aluminum, according to Roland Berger.

Moreover, steel is the prince of the mechanical industry because of its versatility and solidity.

Thanks to topology optimization, which distributes the material only in the important points and lightens the component by eliminating the superfluous where it is not needed, and thanks to the possibility with additive systems, to produce internal cavities, also products printed in steel are lightweight like the ones in aluminum, but they are more resistant.

Choosing to print only with steel powder gives me the possibility of using nitrogen instead of argon, a gas already 78% present in the atmosphere and therefore freely available!

There is no fear that one of your operators will end up biting the dust, nor will you have to fork out €0,90 per normal litre to buy argon.

Just think that to fill the printing chamber you generally need 50 litres of gas, therefore just as a start off you have spent € 450 in argon: a big blow to your earnings.

But there’s more…

You will have access to the only personalized system existing, 3D4YOU, which allows you to check if the 3D printer specialized in steel is a good investment for your company,

even before buying it

In detail you will have in hand a real document with real data about the production costs of YOUR component with a 3D printer for steel, now famously known as the Blue Bear.

I  emphasise by writing in capitals “YOUR component”, because I won’t show you a standard prototype to demonstrate how well the Blue Bear works, but I will carry out all the trial tests with the component you give me and which you will choose together with a 3D4YOU expert, the component you will want to produce with additive systems, once you have bought the printer.

The valuable document, which will save you from a flood of lies and will save your company cash registers, will tell you:

1)if it is convenient, economically and financially, for you to produce your components using additive systems. (thanks to this revealing information you won’t risk a bad investment which instead of making you earn more will eat up your money faster):

2)if you really can produce faster with additive systems or if the initial promise is only the succulent worm to catch the fish;

3)how to position your component on the printing bed to speed up production efficiently and at a lower cost;

The good news is not over yet:

If you discover that 3D4YOU does not work for you, if the treasured document has not helped, if you are not interested in investing in additive systems or it is not even convenient for you:

you will have all your money back thanks to the guarantee 0 risks

I don’t want to sell you a 3D printer for steel if you are not going to use it or if it only becomes an expense.

I know that with the Blue Bear:

1)you won’t have to use argon, so your operators can work in safety; (you will avoid prison, accusations of making your colleagues work in an unsafe environment, and you won’t have nightmares about zombies and corpses);

2)you won’t spend valuable production days scrupulously cleaning the filters so as not to contaminate the stainless steel powders with aluminum; (you can guarantee safer products for your customers);

3)you can try the 3D printer for steel without messing up your company, drying up your earnings and being left at rock bottom.

You will have a detailed document which will catapult you into the future and will show you how your company will transform into a gold mine, producing with clockwork efficiency, thanks to additive systems.

If ever you become interested in 3D printing, 3D4YOU is the only way to check that additive systems are a millionaire investment for your production, without the risk of losing your company or leaving your children without a roof over their heads.

Sooner or later you will inevitably have to face the dark forest of additive manufacturing, because 3D printing is spreading like an oil slick in a variety of manufacturing fields, and many big multinationals are already enjoying the benefits.

What are you waiting for?

Do you really want to fall behind? Trapped in the past, while your braver competitors are stealing customers by producing faster than you?

Or worse still… Do you want to put your faith in the promises of salesmen who give you no proof?
